Thai Airfreight Forwarders Association honours Top-Ten Airlines & Best Cargo Terminal Operator with excellent cargo services
1999 was the first time ever that the Thai Airfreight Forwarders Association asked its members to send in nominations of top ten favorite airlines that the respective Association's member felt provided excellent services related to Cargo Reservation, Sales and After-Sales Services. The services reviewed were restricted to the airlines' performance for the year 1999 only and it was resolved to also receive nominations for the Best Cargo Terminal Operator.
The result of the nominations are:

The Grand Awards or the 1999 Airlines of the Year Awards (referring to the top 3 airlines that received the most combined merits from all services categories)
Gold Award - Thai Airways International
Silver Award - Japan Airlines
Bronze Award - Lufthansa Cargo
The official announcement and the Awards Presentation Ceremony was made at the Emerald Hotel on 22nd March 2000.
